People live fast in the 21st century. We eat fast food and junk food, we sleep very little and everything we do, we do rapidly. Before we reach our forties, we are very much in pain, and not just physical, but mental as well. Well, it seems unusual when I write about it, but you have probably seen this kind of works somewhere. Steel lasts for ages, and therefore, your mosaic made of this type of tiles will last for as long as you want it to last. The name itself suggests that this kind of steel does not bow to the passage of time, and it literally cannot rust. Of course, there are things that you should keep stainless steel away from, such as acidic food. This type of food may seriously damage the steel by leaving a stain that cannot be removed. Considering the matter of decoration, stainless steel can be added to almost every room, but the living room is the best place for it. It simply melts down with the technology that is usually found in the living room, such as TVs, stereos, recorders, etc. No matter where you put the mosaic made of stainless steel, I can guarantee you that it will fit perfectly.

When I mentioned glass, you probably thought to yourself that this kind of mosaic is fragile and breakable. Well, you are wrong. Although they are not as durable as stainless steel, these tiles are certainly stronger than the glass on your on your windows. Their best feature is the reflection they provide when there is not enough light in the room. That reflection is not blinding, furthermore, it has a pretty calming effects, both for your eyes and your brain. The best place to put glass tiles mosaic is definitely the bedroom, because the morning sun reflects best upon these tiles, thus providing you with that „morning“ feeling of rest so that you feel as you are full of life. But then again, glass mosaics need a little bit of cleaning. To sum up, taking a hobby or doing what you love can literally save your life. You should slow the pace of life down by doing what you love. There are things that can both calm your nerves and make the world that surrounds you a more beautiful place. The Bathroom – What To Do In There?

The bathroom is a complicated thing. Not the bathroom itself, but the things in it and their arrangement and organization and all the things you need to make the whole shebang work... complicated. There is too much work to be done here and it can get overwhelming. And overwhelming is never a good thing to be involved in. No one even likes the very word, much less the very notion of it. Let’s face it, the words starting with the prefix over are never fancied, they tend to be too much for most of us, if you know what I mean. I hope you get the joke...

Nevertheless, don't be shy about your bathroom DIY as every part of the house needs to be properly arranged for your comfort and for your well-being in general, so does this one. But then again, most other areas of your home are probably easier to organize, and this one could prove to be a challenge. Unless you are a weird fellow and you like this kind of work, which I hope you’re not, for your sake, life can offer much better things than work and just work... especially work like this. Have fun and do this kind of work only once, and that’s when you get your home. Finish it, and never change it again. Well, you can change, but just too some extent and that’s like a chair over here and a picture over there, and be done with it!

Speaking of weird fellows, does OCD make you one of them? This mild disorder can prove to be a nuisance when you combine it with cleaning and arranging your home. You would need to do things over and over and over and over again... Not nice, not nice at all. Trust me, I have experience with it. But it does not make me a weird fellow! At least I hope it doesn't...

Anyway, when you do your home, there are so many things to be done. I guess much more than the bathroom itself, but when you look at each room individually, the before mentioned is at the top of the list.

As for the rest of the rooms, we know what needs to be done. For example, in the living room you need to worry about the sofa, some armchairs maybe, a television set and several other electronic thingies, like radio, a DVD player and whatnot. There’s not much you need here really, maybe some shelves for the books, but since too few people actually read books nowadays I guess that this can be scratched from the list. Anyhow, add some decorations like pictures and statues and it’s all done. The arrangement as well as all of these things won’t cause many problems since the only thing you need to worry is placing the TV opposite to the sofa and armchairs so that everyone can watch it, obviously. This doesn't seem to be a real problem, unless, once again, you need to place shelves for books. But, judging from the fact that most of us are owners of a very small amount of books, I guess that this can hardly be a nuisance.

I am missing something here. I covered everything that you can actually put on the floors and the walls, and once you've done that, it seems that nothing else can even exist. But you couldn't be more wrong! There are more ways to lighten up the atmosphere of your home. The very floors and walls are also something that needs to be looked at. Unless the builders did a good job with the looks, the colors and whatnot, you won’t have to worry about it. But people can get very picky when it comes to the places where they are going to live for a very long time. Everything has to be perfect, or as close to perfect as it can get. I’m sure that you don’t differ from these types of people. And then again, we all have the right to be picky when it comes to our homes. If you can afford it and you can have it the way you want it, of course you should make it that way; no matter how much of a nuisance you’ll be to others and yourself as well.

When it comes to walls, the real problem is not any of these rooms, but the bathroom itself. What else if not the bathroom. I have been mentioning the bathroom for so many times; you though that there was no reason for that? Hell, the title itself is the most constantly mentioned thing in this piece text.

Nonetheless, this room can be a problem since the best solution for the walls can be to cover most of it with tiles. Bathrooms tend to get dirty and can be very ugly if not properly attended. These wonderful things will solve this problem. Many of them are stainless, so you won’t have to worry about the rust and dirt like you need to worry with regular tiles. Don’t get me wrong, these won’t solve these problems completely, but they will be better than regular tiles. And what more do you need, since you can’t have something that’s perfect. That’s just not the way it works.

These are not the only options for you. So much more types will you find. You will be able to have mosaics in your bathroom, and they will probably be the only nice and pretty things in this room, because, well, we know for which things this room is used... You might want marble tiles, copper tiles, or even well-designed stone mosaic tiles, the choice is yours to make. And it won’t be an easy one, since there are so many wonderful choices.

The Brain is a Wonderful Thing...

There's this thing called life in which you do things, or you don’t, but even if you don’t, you’re still doing something, and that’s doing nothing. I’m kidding, you shouldn't be like that since life will go through being boring, to being too boring, to being “I want to kill my self” boring. I guess that that last stadium is definitely the end. After that there is no going back, so please do not be like that. You should do things, from those you want to do, to those you do not. They are all part of life. One might think that life should be all work, all the things you don’t want to do are supposed to be the only things you do, or one might think that life should be all play, only doing things you want to do, nothing hard to do, only the easy stuff, but both these dudes would be terribly wrong. You are supposed to find balance – both these things must be done; that’s just the way life is and there must be bad aspects in order for there to be good ones, and vice versa. You think I’m wrong? Do you honestly think that good would be called “good” if there were no bad things? The word itself would lose meaning. Two sides of the same coin will always exist, and that’s the way life is and each and every one of us has to accept it and move on through life.

By doing things in life you create your life in a way. Those things that you do – these things are part of your life and they are your life. Each and every one of them is a part, no matter how big or how small, they still are. They might not all be important, but they are still part of it and should be treated as that.

But as it always is, nothing is that simple. You always need to consider what you’re doing. Are you supposed to do it? Is it ok to do it? Is the thing I’m doing bad for someone or something? And many more other questions. Thankfully, we usually can answer all of these questions, it might be hard, but it is still doable.

So many things are done in life, and it’s hard to keep track of all of them. That is unfortunate really, and it would be nice if we were able to remember everything, or, what I actually mean, it would be great if we were like computers with hard disks and whatnot. That way, remembering something would be as easy as typing whatever you want in the search bar. But this way, I guess that the process of learning some knowledge would lose its actual meaning. What would teachers do since there would be no more schools, as they too would lose their meaning and necessity? I guess that this scenario would be heaven to do youngest of us, but not to many other, older people. But, who knows, maybe this scenario would not be so bad...

The good thing is that in so many cases, the things you do, you don’t really need to remember them. Many things we do are just generative, little things that you only do and need not think about them further. Thus it is good that our brain can remember an important thing much easier than some other, less significant thing. Those little things get stored somewhere in the brain, I guess, and remain there forever, without ever being “taken out” again. Our brain is a powerful thing, since it knows what is needed and what is not. It also knows to store, or better said, suppress some memories which can only bring pain to us, and much more. But it certainly isn’t perfect since we don’t have easy access to anything inside of it. However, nothing is perfect. Not even our brains, which are often described as perfect machines.

One of the things that your brain doesn't store and which is also almost completely not worth remembering and irrelevant is home design. You will be spending most of your future in the space you arranged, but you certainly need not remember the very process of arranging your home, right? Unless something out of the ordinary happens during that time, like your wife calling you at home to tell you that she is in the hospital giving birth or someone else calling to tell you that someone you hold dear has just passed away, God forbid, or something along those lines. But, usually, that time goes along without much happening. You just can’t wait to finish it all so you can finally enjoy your new home.

One terrible part of this so-called job are the walls, but to be more precise, the walls in the kitchen and bathroom most usually, and what to put on them. It isn't as simple as painting them in the same color as the rest of your house. No, you have to put tiles on them, and you have to make them withstand all the dirt that will be thrown at them in time. And I’m sure that you can guess that these two rooms are the ones that can get the dirtiest.

But what if you were able to make these specific walls prettier, and more memorable and more important to you? Well there is a good way to do that and it involves putting mosaic tiles. Yes, these things exist and they are art! They are wonderful, and you should consider them. From stainless tiles made of steel to wooden tiles, or even sea shell mosaic tiles - you can have all kinds. Possibilities are numerous and all are worth it. All that you get you will be able to do wonders with! You can even create patterns and images from these tiles. A lot of things can be done and this part of your job could get interesting or even worth remembering.

The Outside of the House – What to do There?

Have you ever thought about the outside of your house? I’m sure that most of us usually think only about the inside, the outside doesn’t matter much, since it is not the area where we spend most of our time. And let’s face it, most of us don’t really have the time to worry about the outside aesthetics of our house, we have enough troubles with the inside. Plus when you take into account our jobs, our families, and so many other things, nobody really has the time for the aesthetics of the outdoor part of our homes. Besides that, when you have guests, they’ll be spending most of the time inside, complimenting you on the looks of your living room, kitchen and whatever – they don’t care much for the outdoors. Hell, most people don’t even look at it when they come over. Sure, the occasional passerby will notice it, but who cares about strangers?

Maybe I have a more practical look on things such as these, but you can’t deny that you don’t have the time for the aesthetics of everything. Then again, I can go too far with the whole “pragmatism over aesthetics” thing, so I will try to be more flexible, and I’m not an idiot, I do like pretty things, we all do, that is why they are called pretty. The word would lose its meaning if we didn't like something that’s pretty. But I am not here to debate semantics or syntax or whatever, I’m here for you and your homes. Because no matter how much I hate to deal with the looks of things, but house redecoration is important and it has to be done at least once. By this, I mean that you need to take care of the outside look of your house, at least once in your life. So let that one time be now! And let me help you with it. Or, at least give me a chance. It can’t hurt...

I've been good at telling how unnecessary it is, but is it really like that? On the whole, it might be, but not if you do it once. That one time, it can’t hurt and most importantly, it’ll do you good. You’ll feel better knowing that everything is pretty on the outside as well. Who knows, you might need to sell the whole place at some time in your future, so it will be good if the place was pretty because, unfortunately, people do judge the book by its covers. And I hate to burst your bubble, but the love of your life didn’t go out with you for the first time because he or she liked you for who you are (how the hell can anyone know anyone before even meeting them!?) but because he or she liked the way you looked! That’s right, because of the looks, you little romantic...

Besides all that, it also can’t hurt for the occasional passerby to marvel at your house, even though you don’t care for them. This way, it might make them jealous, or even better, it might make your neighbors jealous! It’s bad to want your neighbors to be jealous of you, but it still feels so good – damn this wonderfully destructive emotion...

I’m becoming to negative and repulsive even to myself, so let’s move to on pretty things - like the way you can decorate your exterior. Since I mentioned pretty, one of the things that came to my mind is art. So, how to incorporate art with the outside of your house? Luckily for you, I have found the way recently... It’s not like I discovered this or whatever, I was only surfing the internet and I stumbled upon this little thing which seems to have come in handy just about now. This is one of those good moments, the little coincident that turns out to be great for you. I accidentally saw something which came in handy a few days later. Very nice, very nice indeed...

Anyway, the things are mosaic tiles. These are a work of art, and you can have them anywhere, the bathroom, the kitchen, and even on the walls of your pool. But I was thinking of the outside of your house, and I’m sure that many people have them on the outside, but they usually have simple tiles, not the mosaic ones. And the mosaic ones are the ones you really want for the exterior, trust me. You don’t know me, so why would you trust me... but trust me on this, because, I don’t know, just trust me – you won’t regret it!

So, imagine using these mosaic tiles to create a pattern somewhere outside, or even a picture! How many people do you know that have these? Not many, I’m sure. You should try being innovative and creative and you should have something new – it will distinguish you from the rest, make you unique, and who doesn’t want that? Don’t answer, but think about it.

Many options you will have for this (I sound like Yoda). Stone tiles are the most usual choice I guess, but you don’t need to be usual like I said, so try mixing stone and glass, or something new like that. You can go with wood, if by some off chance your house is made of it. All are mosaics, which makes them special and thus different. More importantly, they make your home special and different. Some other choices would include marble, which is much better than stone, since marble is often described as an upgraded version of stone, and that can only mean that it is better.

These are not the only choices, there are many more. It’s up to you to choose and make the exterior of your house something that is desired by many. I will say again – you have to do it only once! After that, each and every time you go into your garden, sit in a comfortable chair, drink your whisky and exhale, you will know that what you did was the right move.

Enjoy life as much as you can, and in order to do that you need to, first of all, enjoy your surroundings. And your surroundings are no more no less but your home itself.
